Hidden gem. I very much enjoyed my dining experience at A Tavola and I'm looking forward to returning! It's a tiny little restaurant but very intimate - perfect date place. Everything we had was delicious. They bring you complimentary olives and wonderfully oily foccacia to start out the meal. After that I had a terrific pork special and the BF had gnocchi in a brown butter sauce. Both of us loved our dishes and can't wait to return.
The takeaway at A Tavola is simplicity and intimacy. The setting is great for a date or quiet get together. The food is straight forward and flavorful. I'm giving them 4.5 out of 5 Pearls.
This restaurant did not really live up to the hype. The only thing we really loved was the mushroom appetizer. That was really good! The gnocchi is popular but was not that good, I would not recommend it. We also tried the Bolognese pasta and it was good . Then we shared the fish of the day, it came with 2 small baby potatoes and 1 piece of broccoli. The fish was cooked well but lacked seasoning. Overall, I don't think I would come here again. There back patio is really cute and the waiter was really nice but for the price I don't think it's worth it.
